This is an accepted higher education industry model, championed by organizations like the American Council of Education (ACE), and recognized by the United States Department of Education.
Advanced Learning Institute™ maintains partnerships with fully accredited, government-recognized universities to provide students with the opportunity to have their work history, formal/informal education, and life-skills portfolio assessed at all degree levels (with proper qualifications), blending the practices of noted academic organizations like ACE, CLEP Examinations, and the Validation of Acquired Education (VAE) model adopted by the French government via federal law. Similar to the French government’s VAE system, Advanced Learning Institute™ may be able to help you validate your entire degree profile with proper credits and work history accrued. One of our accredited partner universities will receive our evaluation and grant you the credits you have earned. You choose where to take your education from there.
While the VAE model is simply one methodology in our international standards application, it's important to note that the VAE process is fully adopted by the French Code of Education (Legislative Part, Third Part, Book VI, Title I, Chapter III, Section 2, Art. L613-3 to L613-6.) It is important to note that Art L613-4 states: “The validation produces the same effects as the knowledge or aptitude testing process that it replaces.” Moreover, the academic titles granted through VAE are identical to those gained by conventional study, and any mention of VAE in those titles is considered discriminatory and is prohibited by law. All universities and other higher education institutions in France are legally required to apply the VAE [standard] if requested.
Research has shown that these accelerated learning opportunities significantly increase college credentialing rates and contribute to the development of a better-educated workforce.
